Welcome! The following lists are for the grade students are entering in the fall of 2016. We have many books in stock, and will be getting more in next week. If you order by June 1st we will be able to deliver the books to your child at school by graduation. If you come to shop in the store, we can show you what we have and place orders that usually arrive within 2 - 3 days. You can order on line and pick up in the store or we can ship.

Please call the store with any questions, or send an email using the link on the site.
First Grade
We encourage you to come to the store to see the books that are right for your child.  We have amazing titles! And great read alouds, too, which are still great for this age.  Harder books kids can't read on their own are good for reading aloud. The books written specifically for beginning readers are best left to a child on his/her/their own!

A note from the 8th grade teacher...

"The one book that is mandatory and must be read by the time you return to school in September is The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. You should buy a copy of this one because we will be using it in class at the beginning of the school year."

It's a great book!

We encourage you to come to the store and look at all our YA, and adult novels that you would enjoy-- many of these are called "crossover" because teens and adults enjoy them (think, The Glass Castle, for example).
